    In the treatment of sand and gravel wastewater, filter presses are often used as the end mechanical treatment method for solid-liquid separation. This material is filtered by pressure, especially used to separate viscous materials and fine materials, has its unique advantages. This article mainly revolves around its daily maintenance, maintenance and production failures. I hope it will be helpful to your production.
Filter press is a commonly used solid-liquid separation equipment, which is widely used in sludge dewatering projects. It is mainly composed of transmission part, filter plate part, pressing plate part, thrust plate part and pressing device (mainly hydraulic pressing device), hydraulic system, electronic control system and auxiliary parts.
The filter cloth is installed on both sides of the filter plate. Under the action of the compaction device, the filter plate is pressed between the compaction plate and the thrust plate. A closed filter space is formed between the two filter plates. When the feed pump enters the closed filtering space, the liquid phase is separated from the liquid filter hole through the filter cloth under the feed pressure. The fixed material stays in the closed filtering space and slowly forms a filter cake to achieve solid-liquid separation. After the feeding pump stops feeding, slowly loosen the pressure plate, the filter cake is discharged, and a working cycle is completed.


(1) Always keep the hydraulic system clean and stable to prevent other debris from being immersed and causing malfunctions.
(2) The filter cloth should be kept flat and should not be folded. The filter cloth should be cleaned according to the situation.
(3) Check the filter cloth regularly. If there is leakage, it should be replaced and repaired in time. When repairing the filter cloth, you should cut off the leaks before repairing to prevent overlap of the sealing surface and increase the thickness of the filter cloth.
(4) Inject grease into the bearings regularly, spray oil on the transmission chain and guide rails of the equipment to remove dirt.
(5) Since the hydraulic station in the hydraulic system is a closed space, the hydraulic oil will become less and less for a long time. When the hydraulic oil cannot be reduced, the oil pump will run idly, which may burn out the motor and damage the hydraulic system. Therefore, the hydraulic system should be refueled, replaced, and cleaned regularly to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
(6) When the oil temperature of the hydraulic system is lower than 10℃, the heater can be used to increase the oil temperature.
(7) Use the equipment correctly, especially do not open the filter press on an empty stomach, otherwise the filter plate will be easily deformed and damaged, or even paralyze the equipment.
(8) As an indispensable part of mechanical equipment, filter cloth should not be too dry during cleaning and drying.

main reason:
a) The mud is too thick or leaves dry matter, causing the inlet and outlet to be blocked. Apart from the pressure of the hydraulic system itself, there is no other material between the filter plates. At this time, the plate itself is easily damaged by long-term pressure;
b) When the feed is insufficient or contains inappropriate solid particles, it will also cause excessive force or damage to the frame itself.
c) If the fluid outlet is blocked by solids, or the feed valve or discharge valve is closed during startup, the pressure will not leak or even cause damage;
d) Incomplete cleaning of the filter plate may cause medium leakage. As long as the medium leaks, the edge of the plate frame will be impacted by the small gutter. A large amount of medium leakage will definitely cause the pressure to fail to rise and make the mud cake unable to form.
Approach:
(A) Use nylon material to clean the scraper carefully and remove the sludge from the import and export;
c) Check carefully whether there is any problem with the filter cloth, then check whether the drain port is unblocked, check whether the drain port is unblocked, open the corresponding pressure valve to release the pressure;
The main reasons are: a) low hydraulic pressure; b) there are wrinkles or cracks on the filter cloth, once it appears, the filter cloth should be replaced in time; c) the sealing surface is in an unknown block shape.
Treatment method: increase the hydraulic pressure accordingly, replace the filter cloth or use a nylon scraper to remove the unclear blocks on the sealing surface.
The main reasons are: too small feed size, too low concentration, insufficient feed, or clogging of the outlet, resulting in uneven distribution of the filter cake and difficult to form a filter cake.
Treatment method: adjust the production process, improve the feed, increase or decrease the feed, clean up the blockage, clean the feed hole, clean the drain hole, clean the filter cloth (or replace the filter cloth), increase the pressure or pump power, start at low pressure, Constant pressure, etc.
The main reason: sometimes too much oil on the guide rod will cause the filter plate to walk slowly or even fall down, which is very dangerous.
Processing method: clean up the oil on the guide rod in time, apply butter to ensure lubrication and avoid accidents. It is strictly forbidden to apply light oil on the pole, because the staff on the pole is easy to fall and cause personal injury.
The main reasons are: a) the motor is aging, the load is heavy, and cannot be worn off; b) the hydraulic oil is abnormal or has a long service life, usually the high pressure oil pump of the plunger pump is easy to cause damage to the plunger; c) the coupling hydraulic station Do not centrifuge during installation. If the coupling is improperly placed, it will cause the motor to swing. The load is too heavy.
The main reasons are: a) the oil pump does not discharge oil; b) the sequence valve setting pressure is too low or the valve core is stuck in the open position; c) the oil filter is blocked; d) the oil tank is too low and the oil pump is empty; e) the hydraulic oil viscosity is too high , It is difficult to suck oil; f) The parts in the pump are seriously worn, the internal leakage is too large, and the pressure and flow rate cannot reach the rated value.
Treatment methods: a) oil pump maintenance; b) sequence valve maintenance; c) oil filter cleaning; d) refueling; e) oil change or oil temperature rise; f) oil pump maintenance or replacement.
The main reasons are as follows: a) The filter cloth should be cleaned when the filter cake is inserted into the sealing surface of the filter plate holder; b) The filter cloth is damaged and cannot meet the sealing requirements, and the filter cloth should be replaced; d) The feed concentration is too low, and the feed concentration should be appropriately increased to 500g /L.
Wires are easy to fall off, wrong wiring, poor contact of parts, damaged parts, unsafe screws, etc., which can easily lead to electrical failures.


For the handling of electrical faults, electrical personnel must not only have a firm grasp of the basic knowledge of electrical principles, but also correctly grasp the basic principles and systems of various filter presses, so as to solve the electrical problems of the filter press in time when a failure occurs. problem appear.
