Comparison of Shallow Air Flotation and Traditional Air Flotation Machines.

In the traditional air flotation device, the depth of the pool is generally 2.0 ~ 2.5m, because the equipment is stationary and the water is moving.

When the water enters the contact area from the reaction chamber, the flow direction will change and the velocity will be redistributed, that is, the water will be transformed into a uniform upward flow, which requires a certain amount of time and height to complete the change, the height of which is generally not less than 1.5m.

Because of the application of the principle of “zero velocity”, the shallow air floatation realizes that the equipment is moving and the water is static, which eliminates the influence of the disturbance of the water on the separation of suspended particles and water, and reduces the requirement of the height.

In addition, in the traditional air floatation device, it is inevitable to have mud sand or flocs sink to the bottom of the pool. In order to prevent the mud sand from taking out of the bottom of the pool, the outlet pipe is generally suspended at a height of 300 mm. In the shallow air floatation device, because the mud scraping device is set at the bottom of the pool, there is no need to set the suspended height section.

Through the above analysis, the effective water depth of the shallow air flotation device is generally 400 ~ 500 mm.

In the traditional air flotation device, the residence time of water body is generally controlled within 10 ~ 20 min.

In the shallow air flotation device, the residence time is only 2 ~ 3 min.

In the traditional air floatation device, the dissolved gas system is equipped with a dissolved gas tank. If the actual volume of the dissolved gas tank is calculated, the hydraulic retention time is 2 ~ 4 min.

In the shallow air floatation device, the solution pipe is used in the solution pipe system, and the filling is cancelled, so that the volume utilization rate of the solution pipe reaches 100%, and the hydraulic retention time is only 10 ~ 15 s.

In the traditional floatation device, the scum layer is removed regularly by the scraper, which can not be selectively cleaned according to the floating time of the scum, so it not only disturbs the water body, but also has a large moisture content of the scum.

In the shallow air floatation device, the spiral skimmer is installed in the front of the water distribution system, and the scum removed is always the scum that floats in the air floatation tank for a long time (2 ~ 3 min), that is, the scum with a more thorough solid-liquid separation and a smaller moisture content.

Through the above analysis and comparison, there are essential differences between the shallow air flotation device and the traditional air flotation device, and its superior technical performance has gradually attracted the attention of domestic users and people in the environmental protection circle.
